I'm done with Qdoba and Chipotle. It's the Calexico street cart or nothing at all for me. I work near the cart and I've been meaning to go get some food from there for years. Finally today I walked down there with one of my co-workers and placed our order.
There were about 8 people that had already ordered and were just waiting for their food and another 4 people waiting to order in front of us. After we ordered it took about 15 minutes for them to get our food ready.
I had high hopes for the steak burrito I ordered but it far surpassed my wildest dreams. They put all the ingredients on the burrito, and left it open, and put it on the grill for a bit. So the burrito was toasted, the cheese was melted, and everything else was warm. The beans aren't wattery like Qdoba. The rice isn't limey (which I hate). And the steak is restaurant-quality steak, and there's a TON of it. The burrito was $8.00, which was expensive, but it was definitely worth it because it was so huge.
I can't wait to go try out something else on their menu tomorrow.
